Fashion shot, August, 21, 1977.
Alice Bag, Belinda Go-Go, Hellin Killer and Pleasant Gehman.

Just a few friends hanging out. My camera often exposed incorrectly, so these images are light, but tasty. Hellin is holding her infamous cat o' nine tails whip -- uncommon in those days -- and Pleasant a toy gun. Remember, in 1977, women did NOT wear lingerie or tote whips in public!

August, 1977. Drummer for the Bags and later Gun Club, Terry DadBag (I always call him Terry BagDad), Germs bassist Lorna Doom, future Go-go Belinda, Hellin Killer, Cliff Hanger (Germs drummer at second Slash Larchmont benefit on August 5, 1977), and Pleasant. Just a typical night out. NO ONE looked like they did. No stylists, just thrift stores and sometimes collaboration with each other.

Pre-Go-Go's Belinda and Bags/Gun Club drummer, Terry Bag, August, 1977 night in West Hollywood. I love this shot of Belinda. The Dickies guitarist Carlos was dating her around that time (hope I got my facts right). He told me she reminded him of a young Kim Novak. He got that right. I enjoyed shooting her through the years.

She's in a green trash bag, stylish black beret on her cropped blonde hair. Her red patent leather belt is complimented by her red leather strappy mules. No one outside of the "adult industry" wore fishnet stockings then. Her trash bag dress is decorated with home-made band pins.

Seriously, this is how we dressed when NO ONE else in LA and maybe a few in NY and England dressed like this, but we didn't see it on TV or net or whatever. We made it up as we went along.

ASK
first, you might make a friend. Use my photos so I benefit too. These are MY photos.
Got a cool site or blog? Maybe we can link up. Better to ask than get angry letter/email from people who will stop you.

ANY usage, especially commercial or editorial, of any purchased, licensed, or otherwise obtained print(s)/scans, etc is strictly prohibited. Violates STATE and FEDERAL laws. That means if you use my photos on something (t-shirt, mag, print, etc) and make money, you robbed me. You robbed everyone, including yourself, of money needed for my archive. How does that make you feel?? That's not how punks treat other punks, especially us pioneers!

That includes, but is not limited to, scanning, reproduction, distribution in any manner, publishing, merchandise, posting, broadcasting, transmitting (podcasts, online, existing or future technology), etc.

Play nice and we can play together. Using without linking, notifying me, etc is bad karma.
